The taste of the True

This blog is a call for the return of the true, of the close relationship with nature and people. It is a call to humanity behind a product that has "luxury" only for international traders.

Like many other agricultural products in great demand (cocoa, coffee, sugar, spices, etc.) whose producers are forced to work in their fields for a fraction of the price sold to the consumer, the work of vanilla trees is under evaluated, and the role of traders, extremely over-evaluated. At a time when the Internet is opening up communication channels between the world of vanilla and that of consumers, we are led to believe that the profession of merchant may well disappear in favor of fairer trade.

Colibri vanille is not a merchant, but a representative in Canada of micro vanilla producers. Our role is to open the door to the Canadian market to small producers, to facilitate their access to local consumers.
